Stay On Track Educational & Motivational Power Point Presentation For Youth

"Like a train chugging along to its destination, students need to work hard, do the best they can and above all, stay on track."  So read the Naples Daily News report of one of our motivational speeches to a group of 300 sixth graders of Bonita Springs Middle School.

When I was President of the Bonita Springs Youth Council, I developed a motivational speech and Microsoft Power Point presentation designed to help children and young adults achieve and succeed on their journey from elementary to middle school and from high school to college.

The purpose of the presentation is to encourage and motivate youth to set clear, specific written goals for their lives.  

Over the course of my development as a young man and throughout my higher education, I have applied the principles taught in the Stay On Track program: dreaming big dreams, goal setting, persistence and determination.   

The presentation uses a train track which analogizes the path a student faces as he or she faces the challenges and opportunities of growing up.

Everyone goes off track during life and that is why we all must consciously decide where we are headed in order to make a clear plan of the direction we will choose to move toward. 

Students have stated after hearing the presentation that they did in fact learn the main point to set goals.  Others have said they were inspired by the presentation.
